【摘要】:Thistestmethodisusefulinthedevelopmentofnewwoodpreservativesandpreservativesystemsbyevaluatingtheminimumpreservativeretentiontopreventdecayunderlaboratoryconditions.Theresultsareusedtofacilitatetargetretentionsinsubsequenttestsforeffectivenessagainsttermites(seeTestMethodD3345)andinfieldstakes(seeTestMethodD1758).ThesectionsonTreatmentandPreservativePermanencearereferencedbyotherASTMstandards.Thetestmethodassumesthatthetestblocksexposedtocertainconditionsaftertreatmentwillachieveequilibrium,andwillreturntothesameequilibriumafterexposuretofungi.Thisassumptionmayleadtoweightlossthatisnotduetodecay.Thetestusesliveculturesoffungalorganismsthatrequirecarefulcolonization,storage,andfeedingtoremainviablestrains.1.1Thistestmethodcoversdeterminationoftheminimumamountofpreservativethatpreventsdecayofselectedspeciesofwoodbyselectedfungiunderoptimumlaboratoryconditions.1.2Therequirementsforpreparationofthematerialfortestingandthetestprocedureappearinthefollowingorder:SectionTitle
